The 2020-2023 lock-down period clearly demonstrated that training from home is a valuable and resilient strategy to avoid interruptions to exercising.

Some of the benefits of training from home are -

  • No disputations to your training should you gym be closed.

  • Zero commuting time to the gym.

  • No unpleasant gym members to deal with.

  • Flexibility to work around family & work commitments.

The limitations of training from home are having a good programme to follow and having a watchful eye over you to ensure you are performing your exercises correctly. 

I also create programmes for people who do attend a gym but want a programme that is highly effective & efficient, be it for Fat Loss, Muscle Building, Health, Flexibility or a Sports Specific goal. 

I offer online training in 2 formats -

Option 1 - Online Personal Training - I will create a tailor-made exercise programme, provide email support for any questions you have including form check on videos, help you with goal setting, and give guidance on nutrition including macronutrient targets if appropriate, use of supplementation and lifestyle optimization.

Option 2 - Online Remote Training (Zoom/Teams) - Scheduled online video training sessions where I coach you through your programme for that day. You will get the same benefits and support with option 1 but with live coaching to take you through your programme.

My goal as a coach is to work with you as a team to help get you efficiently towards your goals. 

Many people who I train with have either never stepped in the gym before or are coming back after a long lay-off or injury. Gyms can be very intimidating places and many people have previously had a negative experience with an unfriendly atmosphere in a commercial gym. I feel it's very important to scale the level of training to suit where your starting point is. 

I coach primarily out of a private personal training studio, so there is privacy and no unpleasant gym members to deal with. 

I’m very serious about practicing what I preach and certainly look the part. However, my approach is not a ‘hardcore David Goggin’s style' where I’m acting like some sort of drill sergeant. I am very friendly and approachable, and my approach is careful and measured. 

In a nutshell, I’m a bit of a geek with very average genetics in the way my body responds to training who, through 20 years of coaching, has figured out clever ways to turn his average body into something resembling a superhero. Through thousands of coaching hours and further thousands of hours of studying. I continually research & refine my methods to help deliver the most optimal results.

What makes the training I deliver stand out is that I have two decades of experience, an extremely keen eye for detail and remain very focused and engaged throughout our appointments. I ensure that you perform what I prescribe safely & effectively. 

What I am NOT is one of these lazy PT’s who’s leaning against the dumbbell rack, browsing their Instagram feed whilst barely bothering to count your repetitions or worse, checking out their own six-pack in the mirror. I mean seriously WTF!?!? (yes this actually happens, I've seen it so many times)

Professionalism is a foundation of what I deliver. I aim to deliver the type of service I would expect to receive.

I warn you, however, that I have a witty sense of humor and may make you sometimes giggle during our sessions.

Alongside physical training I will help you optimize your nutrition, lifestyle and use of supplementation to suit your goal, whether it be Fat Loss, Muscle Building, Flexibility or Sports Performance in-person or Online. 

I also offer training to couples or people who have a similar goal and would like to pair up.

I have a wealth of experience working with people to help optimize their sports performance. 

This includes climbers, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athletes, runners, circus performers, hikers & tennis players. 

My own activities are primarily Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Climbing (primarily bouldering), Hiking & Yoga. 

I have previously competed at a national level as a natural (meaning steroid free) bodybuilder. 

I have also attended a Circus Arts School, numerous workshops on Yoga, Hand-balancing, Calisthenics and with movement experts such as Ido Portal, Yuval Ayalon, Yuri Marmerstein, Mikael Kristiansen, Lee Wade Turner, Steve Maxwell, Tom Weksler & Luis E Sarabia.

I am also currently in my fourth and last year studying The Feldenkrais Method.

Working with me, whatever your sport, will make you a stronger, more resilient athlete.

Further to this I am able to coach you on improving your movement skills for Jiu-Jitsu, Gymnastic Rings, Handstands and other calisthenics & balancing skill’s.

Sports-specific training can be done through online fitness coaching or in-person personal training in London.


Who do I work with?

In my 20 years and thousands of hours of coaching, I have worked with people from all walks of life. 

I specialize in working with busy founders, industry leaders, entrepreneurs & professionals in the fields of Tech, Fintech, Law, Consultancy & Finance.

From the stressed out barrister, overworked banker, sleep-deprived coder to the busy homemaker chasing three children, I have experience working with you. 

I also collaborate closely with physiotherapists and osteopaths to help people recover faster from injuries and also post-operation rehabilitation. I have experience coaching people get back to good function & strength with neck, back, shoulder, wrist, knee and ankle injuries. 


How Do I work?

I use a blend of different training modalities and tools to help get you feeling stronger, more supple and resilient to the stressor's life throws at you. 

We may use dumbbells, barbells, cables, kettlebell's and body-weight exercises as necessary to get you performing at your best.

I use elements of the Feldenkrais Method® to initially help access the movement ability of your body and then incorporate these to create an efficient and effective exercise programme.  

I also provide coaching on how to optimize your nutrition & lifestyle factors to best fit your goal.

I pride myself on delivering a service that filters through ‘bull’ and only uses the most effective tried and tested methods.

Personal training with me is a team effort. I promise to do my best to give you the most effective guidance and knowledge to help you achieve your goals. 

What I expect from my trainees is a commitment to work hard not only in the gym but to improve their lifestyle as appropriate for their goal. This combination guarantees the most effective results.


What is the Feldenkrais Method®?

The Feldenkrais Method® offers a unique way of making lasting improvements to our lives through the medium of movement. We learn how to move through the world with greater ease, co-ordination, flexibility and grace.

It is a somatic practice that harnesses mindful attention and gentle movement to heighten awareness of ourselves and our sensations.  In doing so, we learn from the inside out, making use of our brain’s plasticity – its ability to change for the better at any age.

Teachers deliver lessons in two ways . They teach group classes called Awareness Through Movement®. Individual sessions are called Functional Integration®. Both types are practical and accessible to people of all ages and a wide range of abilities.
